The Visconti Tower

The structure called "Visconti Tower", which has an arcade over the River Lambro, was mostly built in 1808 and was shaped to imitate the pre-existing Visconti castle.

The building that is raised upon a portion of the old castle's walls does, however, present some older features: the loopholes in the drawbridge (east side); a gothic double-lancet window with Charles II of Spain's coat of arms (south side); traces of the battlements, later walled up, visible under the covering.
