Villa Beldosso

Almost along the border between the municipalities of Carate and Briosco is Villa Beldosso, which was built at the beginning of the 16th century as a place of delight. It was given its present appearance at the end of the 19th century by its owner, Count Andrea Sola, who wanted to bring it back to the baroque features that were very popular at the end of the 17th century. Wide steps with worked balustrades characterize the south facade while the north one, which is more austere, is characterized by the additional construction of service buildings. On the north side of the villa is a neoclassic oratory built at the beginning of the 19th century upon the initial project by Simone Cantoni. The villa, belonging to a famous antique dealer today, is surrounded on three sides by a wide fenced park.
